Sleep Trends is a physician owned sleep lab, accredited with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. We evaluate and treat adults and children experiencing sleep disorders, such as Sleep Apnea, Snoring, Insomnia, Restless Leg Syndrome, and Narcolepsy. Sleep Studies are scheduled 7 nights a week.

Receive Referral for sleep consultation from your provider and will set up your appointment after receiving information from your insurance provider.
Preparation
Advise Sleeptrends of any special needs you will require. Shower and wash your hair, which should be dry and free of conditioners, gels, and spray. Our sleep techs should be able to touch your scalp for accurate testing. Take usual medications, unless your provider specifically advised against it. We will need one fingernail to be free of acrylic or dark polish. We also ask that you remove make-up, and not wear lotion. Due to the sleep appointments being overnight make sure you eat dinner (avoid drinking caffeine and alcohol) prior to because no food is allowed within our facility. Please also complete all paperwork prior to appointment.
What to bring
Please bring something comfortable to sleep in. Also be sure to have your identification, insurance card, and paperwork. Feel free to bring your favorite pillow and blanket (not required). Also feel free to bring a book to read prior to testing (not required). *Please note we are not responsible for any items left behind.
Testing Procedure
Tests usually began around 10:30 PM. The technician will be monitoring the test with video and audio, allowing you to call for assistance to get out of bed in order to use the restroom. You are required to sleep on your back for part of the study in order to get the most accurate data. A minimum of 6 hours of testing is required.* Please make arrangements to leave the following morning between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM.
Post Test Expectations
Residual paste is in the hair and adhesive from the tape will remain when the equipment is disconnected. Shower facilities are available at Mesquite location*. Results will be available within 5-7 days, during which you can set up a follow up appointment. After determining proper diagnosis a treatment plan can be made, such as ordering of DME equipment (masks, tubing, CPAP, BiPAP), during your initial consultation fitting to ensure proper wear/use can be conducted. If insurance does not cover, we will make arrangements to outsource. Your provider will advise of the devices that can be used, as well as inform you if surgery is an option as well as
